Day by day…

Day 1 to 4: CORDILLERA BLANCA EXCURSION
During this 4-day acclimatization tour, we will discover the main attractions and landscapes of the Cordillera Cordillera Blanca. We will cover the route by private bus and trekking which will allow us to fully discover the Huaraz region and all its natural wonders. The mountain peaks are imposing with an average altitude of 5500 meters. The Huscaran mountain has an altitude of 6768 meters and is nicknamed “The roof of the Peruvian world.” In this region there are 22 thermal hot spring sites and more than 600 lakes. This mountainous region is also known for its friendly and hospitable local population.

A progressive acclimatization, with varied and interesting landscapes will ultimately bring us to the town of the Chacas (3360 m.a.s.l.). Later, we will stroll through the city of Yungay, which was tragically buried by an earthquake in 1970. Today the city is considered a “a garden of remembrance.” From Yungay, we will cross the Cordillera Blanca and enter the valley where we will enjoy a panoramic view of the lake in the Llanganuco Region. We will relax on the banks of this unique lake and then ascend the pass at 4767 m.a.s.l. and then descend again to 3500 m.a.s.l. on the other side of the mountain range. Throughout this amazing trek we will discover numerous traditional and unknown areas of the region. We will camp at night.
