The Huascaran is the highest mountain in Peru…
Day 1: HUARAZ – BASE CAMP (4250 M)
On Day 1 we will travel by bus to Musho (3000 m.a.s.l.) and trek to the Base Camp Refuge. There will enjoy the natural beauty of the sunset as we make camp for the night.
Altitude Change: +1250 meters
Duration: 4 to 5 hours
Day 2: BASE CAMP – REFUGIO HUASCARAN (4800 M)
On Day 2 we will trek to the Huascaran Base Camp, where we will spend the night.
Altitude Change: +500 meters
Duration: 4 hours
Day 3: ASCENT TO CAMP I (5500 M)
On Day 3 we will depart early in the morning for Camp I, where we will spend the night.
Altitude Change: +700 meters
Duration: 4 to 5 hours
Day 4: CAMP I – GARGANTA CAMP (6000 M)
Day 4 will be dedicated to our ascent to Garganta Camp (Camp II), along the way we will see extraordinary views of the Cordillera Blanca. We will spend the night at Garganta Camp.
Altitude Change: +500 meters
Duration: 5 to 6 hours
Day 5: ASCENT TO THE HUASCARAN (6768 M)
On Day 5 we climb the magnificent Huascaran, where we will literally be held in awe by the views around us. At night we will make camp on the glacier.
Altitude Change: +768 / -687 meters
Duration: 9 to 10 hours
Day 6: DESCENT TO BASE CAMP
Day 6 will be devoted to our descent to base camp.
Altitude Change: -1750 meters
Duration: 6 to 7 hours
Day 7: BASE CAMP – HUARAZ
On Day 7 we will continue our descent to Musho. Mules will carry our gear. Then we will travel to Huaraz by private bus.
Altitude Change: -1250 meters
Duration: 3 to 4 hours

Included:
Transport and subsequent transfers from your hotel in Huaraz, Spanish speaking guide (+ 1 assistant if the group is > 8 people), 1 cooker (+ 1 assistant if the group is > 8 people), food during the treks, hiking and mountain equipment (tents, camping equipment, ropes, ice-picks, snow-brushes, first-aid kit), transport of collective equipment to camp 1 (by mules and porters).
Not Included:
International flight; Bus trip Lima-Huaraz; Hotels Huaraz; Entrance fees to national parks and museums in Huaraz; Airport tax ($28 per person); Food purchases in restaurants in Huaraz and in the towns not included in the trek (food costs approximately $8 per person in a good restaurant). Personal equipment is also NOT included, such as a sleeping bag rated to –10˚ C; Mattresses; Hiking/Walking shoes; Helmut with light; Pick; Crampons, etc. These items CAN be rented. Note: Personal insurance is obligatory.
