Day by day…
An itinerary which includes all of the main attractions of the Cordillera Blanca and the ascent to the summit – A magnificent trip of moderate difficulty. An exceptional program, open to the general public as a first-time glacier experience or acclimatize oneself to more technically difficult peaks.

Day 1: HUARAZ. HUILLAC–BASE CAMP IN ISHINCA (4350 M)
On Day 1 we will travel by bus to Huillac (3500 m.a.s.l.) and then trek to the Ishinca base camp. Baggage and personal gear is carried by donkeys. Here we will enjoy a spectacular view and the sunset behind the Cordillera Blanca and the Tocllaraju mountains and then make camp for the night.
Altitude Change: +850 meters
Distance: 11 km; Duration: 4 to 5 hours

Day 2: THE ASCENT TO ISHINCA (5530 M)
On Day 2 we start our early in the morning from the base camp. From base camp it will be an 8 to 10 hour ascent. At night we will camp at base camp.
Altitude Change: +1180 meters / -1180 meters
Duration: 8 to 10 hours

Day 3: HUILLAC. HUARAZ
On Day 3 we will return to Huaraz from base camp. Baggage and personal gear will be carried back by donkeys and we will travel to Huaraz by bus.
Altitude Change: -850 meters
Distance: 11 km; Duration: 3 hours


Included:
Transport and subsequent transfers from your hotel in Huaraz, Spanish speaking guide (+ 1 assistant if the group is > 8 people), 1 cooker (+ 1 assistant if the group is > 8 people), food during the treks, hiking and mountain equipment (tents, camping equipment, ropes, ice-picks, snow-brushes, first-aid kit), transport of collective equipment to camp 1 (by mules and porters).

Not Included:
International flight; Bus trip Lima-Huaraz; Hotels Huaraz; Entrance fees to national parks and museums in Huaraz; Airport tax ($28 per person); Food purchases in restaurants in Huaraz and in the towns not included in the trek (food costs approximately $8 per person in a good restaurant). Personal equipment is also NOT included, such as a sleeping bag rated to –10˚ C; Mattresses; Hiking/Walking shoes; Helmut with light; Pick; Crampons, etc. These items CAN be rented. Note: Personal insurance is obligatory.
