Day by day…
An itinerary which includes all of the main attractions of the Cordillera Blanca and the ascent to the summit – A magnificent trip of moderate difficulty. An exceptional program for this beautiful peak.
Day 1: HUARAZ – HUILLAC: ISHINCA BASE CAMP (4350 M)
We will travel by bus to Huillac (3500 m.a.s.l.) and then trek to Ishinca Base Camp. (4350 m.a.s.l.) Our gear will be carried by mules. We will enjoy the natural beauty of the sunset across the mountain range and the mountain of Tocclaraju as we make camp for the night.

Distance: 11 km; Duration: 4 to 5 hours
Day 2: ASCENT TO THE ISHINCA (5530 M)
On Day 2 we will depart early after a hearty breakfast and ascend to the Ishinca where we will make camp for the night,
Altitude Change: +1180 meters / -1180 meters
Duration: 8 to 10 hours
Day 3: ISHINCA BASE CAMP – TOCCLARAJU CAMP I (5100 M)
We depart early morning on Day 3 for Tocclaraju. Along the way we will enjoy extraordinary views of the mountain range. At night, we will make camp on the glacier.
Altitude Change: +750 meters
Duration: 5 to 6 hours
Day 4: ASCENT TO THE TOCCLARAJU (6036 M)
On Day 4 we will climb the majestic Tocclaraju. At night we will make camp on the glacier.
Altitude Change: +936 meters / -936 meters
Duration: 9 to 10 hours
Day 5: DESCENT TO BASE CAMP
All of Day 5 is devoted to our descent to base camp, where we will make camp for the night.
Altitude Change: -936 meters
Duration: 3 to 4 hours
Day 6: HUILLAC – HUARAZ
On the final day, we complete our descent to Huilac. Mules will carry our gear. We will travel to Huaraz by private bus.

Distance: 11 km; Duration: 3 to 4 hours
Included:
Transport and subsequent transfers from your hotel in Huaraz, Spanish speaking guide (+ 1 assistant if the group is > 8 people), 1 cooker (+ 1 assistant if the group is > 8 people), food during the treks, hiking and mountain equipment (tents, camping equipment, ropes, ice-picks, snow-brushes, first-aid kit), transport of collective equipment to camp 1 (by mules and porters).
Not Included:
International flight; Bus trip Lima-Huaraz; Hotels Huaraz; Entrance fees to national parks and museums in Huaraz; Airport tax ($28 per person); Food purchases in restaurants in Huaraz and in the towns not included in the trek (food costs approximately $8 per person in a good restaurant). Personal equipment is also NOT included, such as a sleeping bag rated to –10˚ C; Mattresses; Hiking/Walking shoes; Helmut with light; Pick; Crampons, etc. These items CAN be rented. Note: Personal insurance is obligatory.
