Day by day…
From about 4 hours trip to Arequipa center, there is the Colca Valley, impressive geological forming dig by Colca River who’s go down into this canyon. Come to discover this place that Peruvian’s people are so proud of, and sustain the controversy: the Canyon Colca, deep of 3000 m., is really there the deeper canyon of the world?
The Colorado’s defenders think that we should consider of tow sides of the canyon…!

Day 1: TREKKING IN THE COLCA CANYON
On Day 1 we will leave early in the morning by private bus for the Colca Canyon and the Cruz del Condor (3800 m) Lookout. There we will see the sunrise and enjoy the flight of the condors. After a brief rest, we will start our trek and go down into the canyon, where we will cross the river and make camp in the small town of San Juan de Chuccho (2400m) and have dinner.

Day 2: TREKKING IN THE COLCA CANYON
On Day 2 we will walk along the river from where we will be able to enjoy the snow peaked mountains, the variety of plants, and the large geological faults; we will also pass through the town of Coshñihua. At the end of the day we will arrive at a place called “Oasis,”(2225m) where we will be able enjoy a soothing soak in the thermal baths. We will make camp and have dinner there.

Day 3: TREKKING – CABANACONDE - AREQUIPA
On Day 3 we will depart our camp at “Oasis” very early and hike onward to Cabanaconde (3230m), which is a 4-hour trek. We will have lunch in Cabanaconde and then travel to Arequipa. In Arequipa we will stay at the Casa de Melgar Hotel**.

Included:
Transport and subsequent transfers from your hotel in Arequipa, English speaking guide, food during the treks, mountain equipment (tents, camping equipment, ropes), transport of collective equipment (by porters), entrance fees to national parks.

Not Included:
International and domestic flights; Hotels in Arequipa; Airport tax ($28 per person); Food purchases in the towns not included in the trek (food costs approximately $8 per person in a good restaurant). Personal equipment is also NOT included, such as a sleeping bag rated to –10˚ C; Mattresses; Hiking/Walking shoes; Helmut with light; Pick; Crampons, etc. These items CAN be rented.
