Along the way......

The Colca Valley is an impressive geological formation hollowed out by the Colca River, which runs through the gorge, only four hours away by road from the center of Arequipa.
This three-day hike allows you to appreciate the splendor of the Canyon, which with is depth of 3,000 meters is known as being the deepest in the world – is it really true? Whether it is or not, it remains the pride of the Peruvians.

Day 1 : AREQUIPA – SALINAS PRESERVE AND AGUADA BLANCA - YANQUE (COLCA) / TREK

Morning departure by vehicle for the Colca Canyon. On the way, visit of the Salinas Reserve and Aguada Blanca. Nice walk along the Collagua trail and relaxation at the Chivay hot springs. Arrival at the hotel in Yanque. Meals included.

Day 2 : CHIVAY – CRUZ DEL CONDOR – PAMPA SAN MIGUEL - SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO / TREK

In the early morning, departure for the observation of the condors at Cruz del Condor. Then, start of the hike at the heart of the Pampa San Miguel. Descent along the Canyon to the small village of San Juan de Chuccho at an altitude of 2400 meters a.s.l. (el. 7,874 feet). Night in a camp. Meals included.
Transfer: around 2 hours; Hiking time: around 3½-hour. Elevation gain: - 900 meters a.s.l (el. 2,952 feet).

Day 3 : SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO – TAPAY - SANGALLE (OASIS) / TREK

Visit of the village of Tapay, via villages whose residents make a living from agronomy. Walk along the river and observation of the cliffs, the variety of plants and the huge geological faults. Camp in Sangalle, at an altitude of 2225 meters a.s.l. (el. 7,300 feet). Meals included.
Hiking time: around 5 hours; Elevation gain: + 500 m / 675 m

Day 4 : OASIS – CABANACONDE – CALERA CHIVAY - AREQUIPA / TREK

Morning departure for Cabanaconde. On the way, visit of several tourist places and bath at Calera hot springs in Chivay. Return by road to Arequipa and arrival at the hotel. Lunch included. Dinner open.
Hiking time: around 4 hours; Please note: hotel not included in Arequipa.
