Along the way......

Cuzco was kept a hidden and unique treasure among all the towns of the country for centuries and remains today the guardian of an ancient Andean tradition, despite having been bathed in a distinctly Spanish atmosphere for centuries... a truly out-of-the-ordinary mix...

One must walk slowly through the streets to discover, piece by piece, its unique character and the richness of its surroundings. Its cathedral is a symbol of Catholicism which was strictly imposed but which existed side-by-side with the Andean tradition, far from being obsolete... The Inca ruins surrounding the town are a constant reminder of Andean grandeur, all of them surrounded by the fabulous Sacred Valley leading to the wonder of wonders… Machu Picchu.
