The northern coast of Peru between the cities of Trujillo and Chiclayo consists a quite rich region in terms of archeology. This region is known for some of the most recent discoveries such as the tombs of Sipan and the painted walls of the Huaca de la Luna. Some of the several recently built museums worth a visit as wall as the pre Hispanic site, all of them testimony of a big legacy of several civilizations since the thousand years before Christ to the Spaniards arrival.
