The Panamerican that goes along the south cost is mostly a desert. We find in this region the mysterious Nazca lines. Birthplace of an ancient civilization (Nazca culture), the peninsula of Paracas is also one of the most beautiful ornithological reserve in the world. Take a boat to Ballestas Islands and do not miss the Candelabro, drawn in the sand dune. Further in the south, Ica’s valley and its sunny climate have produced the national alcohol: the Pisco.
