Along the way......
The Huascaran with an altitude of 6,768 meters above sea level, the highest tropical summit in the world, dominates the northern end of the White Cordillera.
Situated in the heart of the country, this steep valley, with high altitude lakes borne of the thaw from thousand-year-old glaciers, surrounded with white peaks glistening in the sunlight is a dream for any avid hiker wanting out-of-the-ordinary panoramic views…

Day 1 :
Transfer to the Lima land terminal. Journey by bus with destination Huaraz, main departure point for the numerous treks in the White Cordillera and Huayhuash. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Meals open. Note 1: Visitors are not accompanied by a guide on the bus journey – around six hours of travel-time. Note 2: Timetable and specific transport company details to be communicated to visitors upon arrival in Peru.
Day 2 :
In the morning, departure in a private vehicle for Chavin de Huantar. Visit of the archaeological site that used to be, more than 2500 years ago, an important pilgrimage centre, where people traveled great distances to bring offerings in order to consult the prestigious oracle of the temple. In the late morning, return by road and transfer to the hotel in Huaraz. Free time at the end of the day. Meals open. Please note: around 70 miles.
Day 3 :
In the morning, departure in a private vehicle for the Llanganuco Lagoon. Arrival at the edge of the lagoon and its turquoise waters, then climb to the Portchuelo pass, at an altitude of 4767 meters above sea level. Unobstructed view over the White Cordillera and its peaks, some of which reaching heights superior to 6000 meters above sea level. Return by road and transfer to the hotel in Huaraz. Meals open.
Day 4 :
Transfer to the Huaraz land terminal. Bus journey to Lima, the Peruvian capital city. Reception in the late afternoon and transfer to the hotel. Meals open. Note 1: visitors are not accompanied by a guide during the bus journey – around 6 hours of travel time. Note 2: timetable and specific transport company details to be communicated to visitors upon arrival in Peru.
