Day 2: Lima - Paracas
Departure in private vehicule to Paracas.
Leaving Lima, detour to visit the site Pachacamac which was one of the most important ceremonial centre in the pre-Hispanic America. This archaeological site extends 460 hectares and includes over 50 architectural structures which most are made from stones and adobes. It shows various ruins from the Lima civilization (200-600 AD) to the Incas (1450 -1530), revealing a city that held different functions in time: religious centre, commercial crossroads and administrative centre.

Departure in the direction of Lima.

Day 4: Arequipa
Half day dedicated to the discovery of Arequipa, the "white city". Enjoy a guided tour of the colonial downtown including the main square, the cathedral and the Jesuit church and convent.
Our way will take us to the Yanahuara and Carmen Alto "miradors" (lookout points) where we can admire the panoramic views of the surrounding volcanoes (Misti and Chachani).

Day 5: Arequipa - Colca Valley - Yanque
Morning departure in a private vehicle along the road that leads to the Colca canyon. We will pass through the Pampa Cañahua region, a nature reserve for vicunas and other camelids. We will also make a stop at the Patapampa pass at 4,900 m of altitude, to admire views of the Ampato, Sacanbaya and Hualca-Hualca volcanoes. Arrival at the hotel.

Day 6: Colca Valley - Cruz del Condor - Yanque
After breakfast we will take to the road as far as the lookout point of Cruz del Condor where the true depth of the canyon (1200 m) can be appreciated and where we can observe Andean condors in flight. Return toward Chivay stopping along the way at the lookout points of Antahuilque and Choquetico, the pre Inca cemetery and the picturesque villages of Maca (3262m) and Yanque (3417m). Free time in the afternoon or an optional excursion (ask us for more details).

Day 7: Titilaka - Colca Valley - Puno

Day 8: Titilaka
This day is devoted to the discovery of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, among a wide selection of excursions and walks on demand.

Day 9: Titilaka - Puno - Cusco
In the morning, transfer to the Puno train station. Departure for the long journey to Cuzco, aboard the Orient Express train. We admire wonderful landscapes along the road. Lunch included (on board).
Note 1: the train operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from November to March. From April to October, it also operates on Fridays. It makes no stops. As for the tourist bus, it does operate every day and stops on several occasions to allow visits.

Transfer to Poroy train station.
Departure by luxury train Hiram Bingham at 09:00. A brunch will be served on board. Arrival at the station of Aguascalientes around 12:30. From there we will take a bus to the site of Machu Picchu. Afternoon visit to the site. A tea will be served around 16h at the Sanctuary Lodge.

- Walk early in the morning to take advantage of the optimum time for cloud-forest bird watching. Begin at a river observatory, with the possibility of sighting the sought-after torrent duck and the white-capped dipper.
- Then proceed to a productive tanager feeding area, where silver-beaked, blue-necked, fawn-breasted and saffron-crowned tanagers can be found. Along the hotel’s pathways, be on the lookout for the cock-of-the rock, the golden-headed quetzal and many of the 18 different hummingbirds identified on the grounds, including the booted racket-tail and the green-and white hummingbirds, which are native to the area.

Day 12: Ollantaytambo - Sacred Valley - Moray - Maras - Sacred Valley
Train back to Ollantaytambo.
Visit to the Inca fortress at Ollantaytambo, named after the Inca warrior, Ollanta. This was the site of many fierce battles between the Inca and the Spanish.
Departure at 9am in a private vehicle on a day-trip exploring the Sacred Valley. The first stop will be at the cultural site of Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory. We take to the road again, this time in the direction of the salt flats of Maras, located in the middle of the Cordillera. We will then walk down to the Urumbamba River before making the return trip to the hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 14: Lima - Iquitos - Delfin I Boat
Domestic flight from Lima to Iquitos.
Arrival at Iquitos airport followed by a journey of an hour and a half to the town of Nauta, the oldest city of the department of Loreto. Between Iquitos and Marasuivi river, Nauta is the city-pier for a cruise aboard the Dolphin. You will be welcomed with a cocktail followed by dinner. Then, on the upper observation deck, will begin a presentation of the Amazon (wildlife, history and geography of the Amazon Basin).

Day 15: Belluda Caño - Dorado River
In Amazon, sunrise and sunset are ideal times of the day to discover nature, that is why we suggest you to get up early. After breakfast, you will go for a walk through the jungle to visit two different types of ecosystems : the flooded forest and the dry forest.
This walk will give you the opportunity to discover species in transition such as the snail comet, the black-tailed ant Bird or hummingbirds. You will also see very tall trees with lianas and a variety of palm trees. After an hour of walking, you will arrive at a beautiful lagoon where two canoes will be waiting in one of the most isolated places in the world.
Lunch.
By early afternoon, you will head to the spectacular river dorado ranging within Pacaya Samiria Reserve, where you will experience an unforgettable encounter with the pink and grey dolphins. You will enjoy a unique opportunity to swim with them. You will explore this area and its looking for different type of wildlife with chances to meet various monkey and bird species. You will also see iguanas resting on the edge, taking the sun during your return to the boat.

Day 16: Puinahua River - Pacaya River
You will walk through this unique ecosystem, through a lush rainforest with emergent trees and felling of trees up to 55 meters. As the largest tract of tropical rainforest in the Americas, the Amazonian rainforest boasts unparalleled biodiversity. 1 in 5 of all birds recorded live in this extraordinary habitat. It has been estimated that many hundreds of million species may yet to be discovered.
After observing many species in the area, return to the boat and lunch.
After lunch, you will almost arrive at Pacaya River, the heart of Pacaya Samaria National Reserve, the largest protected area of Peru with an annual average rainfall of 3 000 mm. This is certainly the largest wetland protected reserve all around the world with its lakes, marshes, streams and palm trees. The reserve is converted into a flooded forest during the rainy season and will be one of the most beautiful places you will visit during your life.
While the sun will begin to set, you will remain impressed by the intense colors of the sky and its reflection on the black waters of the Pacaya River.
That is why the area is called the Forest Mirrors. While observing nocturnal wildlife you will observe the stars, all under the magical charm of dragonflies illuminating the jungle surrounding you.
Return to the boat and dinner.
Day 17: Puerto Miguel Village - Iquitos - Lima
After breakfast, you will leave to visit the community of Puerto Miguel, where you will have the opportunity to discover and share the cultural richness and the wonderful talent of local artisans. After the visit of the community, you will explore the Yarapa River. After some time, you will reach a beautiful lagoon called Uvo. Then you will arrive at the origin of the formation of this majestic river, in the very heart of the Amazon basin. You will continue the journey and enjoy the incredible number of dolphins feeding in the confluence of the Ucayali and Maranon rivers.
