Along the way......
The Peruvian coast has a reputation that few visitors expect to actually find accurate… an arid desert bordering the Pacific Coast over thousands of miles…
This coastal desert is nonetheless full of surprises: islands inhabited by gigantic colonies of sea birds, penguins and sea-lions… paradisiacal oases hiding behind high dunes… and finally the enigmatic Nazca Lines, to this day, still a mystery...

Day 1 :
In the morning, departure in a private vehicle on the Pan-American Highway. Arrival at the hotel in Paracas in the late morning. Relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, walk through the Paracas Nature Preserve, located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Return to the hotel. Evening open. Meals open. Please note: 163 miles; around 3½ -hour travel-time.
Day 2 :
In the morning, departure for the port of Paracas. Excursion to the Ballestas Islands, where we peacefully observe the numerous seals, pelicans, penguins, Bougainville cormorants and flamingos. Departure in a private vehicle for Nazca. Continuation of the journey to the “Adolfo Bermudez Jenkins” museum, a true gem, exhibiting a collection of objects: fabrics, ceramics, mummies and trepinated skulls, from the coastal Paracas and Nazca cultures, as well as from the Inca period. Open lunch at the Huacachina oasis. On the road to Nazca, visit of the house of Maria Reiche, mathematician / physicist who has dedicated her life to study the Nazca lines. She has been buried next to her home. Stop at the watchtower close to the Pan-American to watch a few lines. This watchtower has been financed by Maria Reiche. Lastly, visit of the Antonini archeological museum, built by the Italian archeological mission, which is currently realizing excavations at Cahachi (former capital city of the Nazca region located in the middle of the desert). Transfer to the Nazca hotel. Meals open. Note 1: 113 miles – around 2½ -hour of travel time. Note 2: collective boat for the 2-hour visit of the islands.
Day 3 :
In the early morning, transfer to the Nazca aerodrome. Low-altitude flight over the famous lines - strange geometrical drawings, some of which easily exceeding 300 yards in length and only visible from the sky! Then, departure in a private vehicle to Lima. Transfer to the hotel. Meals open. Note 1: around 5½-hour of travel time, 275 miles. Note 2: length of the low-altitude flight: 30-minute.
