The Nazca desert… just the name itself conjures up the image of still unsolved mysteries. The Nazca lines, famous around the world, still remain one of the greatest ancient enigmas known to man. Is it a calendar? Yes, perhaps; but how were these giant etchings in the earth created? And how are the Nazca lines connected to Tiawanaku; …was it a technological exchange? Whatever Nazca may be, at the site of this ancient riddle we will make a trip through time that will leave us with both a better understanding and a feeling for what these lines really might have been.

We will also have the chance to retrace the steps of Maria Reich – the German woman who dedicated her life to the study of these lines. Riech worked tirelessly in order to get the Nazca Lines officially recognized as a Cultural Patrimony of the World by UNESCO.
