The Natural Reserve of Paracas was established in 1975. The Reserve covers a surface of 335,000 hectares and preserves and protects the marine flora and fauna of this area, which is sustained by the cold-water Humboldt Current. Located in the middle of the coastal desert, Paracas is one of the richest seas of the world, due to the presence of large amounts of plankton, a vital food for innumerable species of fish. Paracas is also the habitat of numerous birds and great colonies of sea lions.

Day 1: LIMA – PARACAS (BUS)
Transfer at 07.30 AM to the bus terminal to go to Paracas. Arrival at about 11.00 at Paracas Hotel ***
Paracas is a natural reserve, which protects flora and marine life crossed by the cold Humboldt Current. Located in a Coastal desert, this area benefits from one of the richest seas in the world, this is also due to the presence of marine outcrops that make large quantities of plankton go up toward the surface, vital food for innumerous fish species. Paracas is the land of many birds and great sea lion colonies.
After lunch, hike in the Paracas natural reserve. (No guide)
