Paracas and Small Galapagos

The National Reserve of Paracas is the only marine reserve in Peru. It was created on 25, September 1975 and covers an area of 335,000 hectares. The reserve offers beautiful landscapes and awe-inspiring ecological diversity. The sea that surrounds Paracas is home to multiple water currents that are supportive for plankton as well as a variety of fish and both migratory and non-migratory birds native to the region. Paracas is a small, quiet fishing village, surrounded by elegant mansions. Paracas also offers some of the most beautiful beaches in Peru. Here, we will likely see pink flamingos; and by small boat, we will visit some of the islands and the animals that live there including Humboldt penguins, seals, and a variety of birds. This is an energizing trip that will allow us to discover a very different facet of Peru. Farther from the coast, nature lovers will enjoy seeing cormorants, pelicans, and dolphins near Cerro Azul.
