In the morning, departure in a private vehicle for a day dedicated to the discovery of the Sacred Valley. First stop at the cultural site of Moray, a former Incan agricultural ‘laboratory’. Then, continuation of the excursion to Maras: salt mines in the middle of the Cordillera! We walk down to the Urumbamba valley where our vehicle awaits us. We then drive to Ollantaytambo and visit of the fortress that used to be a strategic military, religious and farming base. Transfer to the hotel in Ollantaytambo. Night in the valley. Meals open
PISAC – OLLANTAYTAMBO / EXPLORATION
In the morning, departure in a private vehicle for Pisac. Visit of the site and descent by foot to the handcraft market. Typical lunch and then continuation of the journey to Ollantaytambo. Visit of the fortress and transfer to the hotel. Lunch included. Dinner open.
In the morning, departure by foot for a trek “off-the-beaten-track”. Lunch (picnic) at the heart of the Uchuy Qosqo ruins (or ‘Little Cuzco’). Return to Lamay by foot at the end of the afternoon and transfer to the hotel in Yucay. Lunch included. Dinner open. Please note: length of the walk: around 3 hours.
In the morning, departure from Ollantaytambo train station for a journey to Aguascalientes. Direct connection to the shuttle service that will drive you to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Day dedicated to the visit of the site; one of the wonders of the world, discovered in 1911 by the American anthropologist Hiram Bingham. In the afternoon, return by train to Ollantaytambo. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Meals open. Please note: train timetables to be communicated to visitors upon arrival in Cuzco.
In the morning, walk along a hillside path, to reach the Pumamarca ruins. The Incan constructions forming this complex are decorated by niches, where statues and various objects were formerly exhibited. Lunch and then return on the path. In the morning, departure by bus for the small village of Huilloc, located at an altitude of 3600 meters above sea level. Meeting with the members of the community, known as “the Land of the Huayruros” for their garments feature (red and black). Discovery of the noteworthy knowledge of the women in terms of weaving, famous in the whole valley. Return via the Pumamarka ruins. Back to the hotel. Cold lunch included. Dinner included.
In the morning, departure by mountain bike to discover the typical villages of the Sacred Valley. Walk along the River Vilcanota to Huayllabamba, sometimes referred to as ‘chocclo’, for its corn production - the best in the region. Then, we follow a small path to observe the canals dating back to the Incan period. Afterwards, we climb up to reach Urquillos. Cold lunch and break on the old village square. Continuation along the path to visit an old country estate. Arrival in Huincho, a farming community, to taste the ‘Chicha’, (a corn-based drink). Transfer to the hotel. Meals open.
