Day by day…
The Kuelap fortress, far away to 74 kilometres from Chachapoyas, situates in a crest an altitude of 3080 m. She was found in 1843.
The high walls are very impressive: 25 mts to height and 600 mts to long. The citadel and the exceptional environment of Chachapoyas and Tarapoto present an unforgettable trip to the visitors.

Day 1: CHICLAYO – POMACOCHAS 2150 M (PRIVATE)
We will depart early in the morning, by private bus, for Tarapoto – a 55-kilometer trip across Peru’s northern desert. Our trip travels along a narrow valley and towards the town of Porculla, which is the lowest pass in the Andean Mountain range in the Piura region. This is the shortest route between the Pacific coast and the jungle in the whole country. We will see that the mountains’ lower parts are little by little become covered in dense vegetation, as we move towards the south of Pomacochas. Near the end of the afternoon we will arrive at Pomacochas. We will spend the night at the Hotel Pumas**

Day 2: POMACOCHAS – KUELAP -POMACOCHAS
We will depart early in the morning, by private bus, for Tarapoto – a 55-kilometer trip across Peru’s northern desert. Day 3: POMACOCHAS – TARAPOTO (PRIVATE)
We will take the bus to Tarapoto and along the way visit the city of Moyobamba and then Lamas, which is the capital of the Department of San Martin. This region is a paradise of orchids and tropical flowers and Lamas is also well-known for its traditional music, dancing, and handicrafts. We will spend the night at the Puerto Palmeras Resort***.

Day 4: TARAPOTO
This is a free day to give us an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful weather of Tarapoto
We will again spend the night at Puerto Palmeras Resort***.

Day 5: TARAPOTO – LIMA (AIRPLANE)
In the morning, we will depart from the Tarapoto airport and return to Lima, Peru’s capital. Lima was founded in 1535 by the conquistador Francisco Pizarro. In 1542 Lima became the Capital of the Viceroyalty of Peru. Since it was the political, strategic and economic capital, it was also the center of important Spanish architectural influence during the colonial period from the 17th and 18th Centuries. At midday we will begin our visit of the capital city with a guide in Spanish. In Lima, we will discover the colonial neighborhoods in the center of town and we will stroll by the Plaza San Martin, the Plaza de Armas, as well as the Cathedral, and we will visit the San Francisco Convent. We will spend the night at the Hotel Ducado **.
