Day by day…
The mysterious Lake Titicaca and all its legends...
Many things can be said about Lake Titicaca. First, it is the highest navigable lake in the world (3810 m.a.s.l); and with a surface of 4550 Km2 it is fifteen times bigger than Leman Lake! Legend says that Manco Cápac, the first Inca, and Mama Ocllo, his wife, arose from the waters of the lake with the purpose of founding the Inca Empire. This would make the Uros, native people who live on the islands of Lake Titicaca, direct descendants of Manco Cápac and Mama Ocllo. We highly recommend that you discover the islands of Uros and Taquile.
