Group sharing
All participants share daily tasks (assemble and dismantle the camp if bivouac, preparing meals, taking care of the dishes, etc...) and in the process of decisions (for instance, change of itinerary because of meteorological conditions, political problems, mechanic problems - the guide shall have the final decision.
Lodging/meals
First, we shall frequently have wild camping. South America is a magnificent place for this kind of bivouac. We shall also enjoy local gastronomic food, most varied (fruit and shellfish/fish in Chile - succulent meat and wine in Argentina) at reasonable prices.
Choice of candidates
Terra Andina wishes to limit the size of the group: 4 persons minimum / 14 persons maximum, in order to enjoy an adventure away from frequented footpaths.
Rather than an excellent physical condition, we seek forming a motivated group, capable of adapting itself to unforeseen circumstances, patient if it becomes necessary to repair a tire during one hour under the rainfall for example, a group that loves life in the open air, a group that is fond of South America and its people. Finally, a group that wishes to discover at the same time the cold climate of the Bolivian Altiplano and of the Patagonia, and the hot beaches of the Pacific or of the north of Chile.
Equipment
Each participant is authorized to carry a maximum volume of baggage of 80 liters (sleeping bag included) + a small carpet. More or less every 10 days, we shall have the possibility to have your garments washed.
Environment
The guide has the responsibility of a peaceful environment within the group. If he considers that a person makes common life difficult, he may exclude this person from the voyage (returning the money for the part of the tour he will not take).
